The biggest race of the year... The PacWest conference Chamionship...  two weeks ago after an 8k in Cedar City against SUU, my achilles started hurting. I just shrugged it off an pushed through it and did like a four mile cool-down. Well the next day my achilles was extremely sore, even from just walking. so i went in to Dixies physcal therapist and they gave me treatment and stuff... Well i end up running once since then... oh and they say it is tendonitis and another "itis" word. But the day before our Championship race, i jog the course pretty fast to get to know it for the big race. My leg ends up hurting like it did two weeks ago. So i take tons of ibuprofen and am just basically drugged up. Oh yeah, the weekend before, i picked up a cold virus. Turns out that the peak of this disease is the day before the race. So things are going my way at all... Race Day: i wake up at like 4 and throw up a couple of times. but i get back to sleep and am not tired at all. At the race i warm up as little as possible and race. Oh another factor against me that day, IT POURS! so regardless i run a PR but dont make all-conference (by 30 seconds)! , which i know i could have had things worked out... THe story of my life....
